This war memorial marks the starting center for several of the best routes in the north. It is a great way to start a beautiful day as the memorial offers the best views anyone could want.

Although most of the trails north of Mount Greylock use the Appalachian Trail in its core, the area offers several loop increases to keep things fresh. As these paths cross several times is important to know that the Appalachian Trail and White opened the back roads blue.

The first trail to the north would be the section of the Appalachians in the direction of Monte Williams. This section is about two and a half miles one way with difficult climbs to get the blood pumping. Hikers will enjoy a variety of birch, fir, brambles and scrub limping along the road, but be aware that the initial stretch is rather steep. Not far beyond the memory of Mount Williams Road are some of postal taking opportunities Quint City of Adams. From this point you will be constantly bombarded with diverted to secondary roads sights lower. You know you're nearing the end when you start to ascend Mount Williams. The rise can be a bit much for novice hikers to take the hill in moderation. The look of Monte Williams is about 3,000 feet so do not be surprised that they are out of breath. At the top of the peak are majestic views of the Hoosic River valley and rolling mountain peaks.

The second most notable track on the north side of Mount Greylock State Reservation is the "Mirador de loop.
